Fairfield Beach Community Forum: Shaping the Future of Our Neighborhood

The Fairfield Beach Association (FBA) invites residents to attend a community forum on April 23rd, 2026 at 6:30PM at the Penfield Pavilion for a conversation about the future of the Fairfield Beach area.

Fairfield Beach is one of the most special neighborhoods in our town—a place where long-time residents, families, and students share the same shoreline and community. As the area continues to evolve, it’s important that residents have a voice in how the neighborhood grows and changes.

This Forum will bring neighbors together for a thoughtful discussion about the issues shaping the beach community today and in the years ahead.

Topics for Discussion

The Forum will focus on several key issues affecting the neighborhood:

  • The long-term vision for the Fairfield Beach area
  • Responsible development and zoning considerations
  • Safe and effective traffic policies
  • Expectations and guidelines related to the student population
  • Preserving the character and quality of life that define the beach community

Local officials and community leaders may also participate to provide perspective on planning, policy, and enforcement.

A Community Conversation

This forum is intended to be informative, constructive, and collaborative. Fairfield Beach includes many voices and perspectives, and open dialogue is essential as the neighborhood continues to change. Residents are encouraged to attend, listen, and share their ideas as we work toward a balanced future for the beach community. Fairfield Beach has long been defined by its strong sense of community. This forum is an opportunity for residents to come together, discuss shared concerns, and help shape the future of the neighborhood.

The Fairfield Beach Association (FBA) was founded in 1955 as a way to give Fairfield Beach residents a unified voice in local matters affecting safety, livability, and the environment. Over the decades, it has grown into a trusted, representative organization advocating on behalf of more than 3,000 residents and 1,300 households across the beach area — from Old Post Road to Beach Road and from Reef Road to the end of Fairfield Beach Road.

FBA operates as a registered 501(c)(4) nonprofit civic association, which means it exists solely to promote the welfare of the community, not for profit. Our members include year-round homeowners, seasonal residents, and local partners who share a commitment to maintaining the integrity, safety, and natural beauty of Fairfield Beach. Through regular meetings, town collaboration, and community events, FBA helps build stronger relationships among neighbors and ensures that every resident has a voice in shaping the future of the shoreline.
